New Equipment

Pegasus installs a new Omega 410 converting line fitted with AVT Helios 11 inspection unit that feeds into a 4 spindle Vectra turret rewinder ECTR 410-4 with automatic core loader.
This latest piece of equipment added to the labels area of Pegasus will provide significant improvements in productivity as well as providing the latest technology for post print inspection/rewinding.
The converting line and turret are fully servo driven and will be capable of running web widths of 410mm. The turret features a fully automatic core loader which will significantly improve throughput and the servo drives will allow roll tension to be adjusted to suit the individual needs of end users. The Omega line will also allow plain labels to be die-cut and rewound in one pass, significantly reducing the time to convert and allow us to be able to respond quickly to those “emergency” orders which crop up from time to time.
The AVT Helios is recognised as world leader in inspection systems and this feature will allow us to fully inspect product post printing, and ensure any “defect” labels are removed during the rewinding process.
